Expressing What Technology Has to Offer – GIGABYTE HPC Servers
x86 architecture is not the only platform that is capable of high-parallel processing from accelerators. The Arm platform can be used, and is used, in these GIGABYTE servers that are optimized for balanced performance. The incredible core count with the Ampere Altra processor (80 cores) allows the CPU to handle many requests at once, as in cloud applications. Also, the platform can be moved to edge as well where real-time processing of AI is needed.
AMD EPYC™ with AMD Instinct Accelerators
With the enhanced portfolio of products for AMD EPYC 7003 processors and Instinct™ MI200 OAM, GIGABYTE has developed server solutions for AMD to accommodate PCIe GPUs, such as the AMD Instinct MI100, and the new OAM form factor, AMD Instinct MI250. This allows for a full range of GPU performance from 1U to 4U servers and suitable for scaling. The video is an introduction to our servers that are either GPU-dense (G-series) or high-density (H-series) servers.
Where Compute Reigns for HPC
By building around the new Intel Xeon Scalable processor, GIGABYTE has created a server portfolio to address all applications that demand a high-level of parallel or serial processing. For GPU-centric workloads are the G-series servers. For high-density CPU applications with 8 CPUs in a 2U server the H-series exists, and we will look at an example of each in the video presentation.
