Utilizing Broadcom's industry-leading controllers, GIGABYTE provides a variety of add-on cards optimized for GIGABYTE enterprise products. The solution covers both LAN cards and HBA/RAID cards, enabling the systems to handle an exponentially increasing amount of data.

Accelerating data transfer with high efficiency and security

As the latest servers grow stronger in computing power and the amount of data processed in data centers increases exponentially, the add-on cards in server systems also play important roles. To alleviate the impact on system performance caused by data transfer, GIGABYTE provides multiple LAN cards and Storage cards equipped with Broadcom controllers specifically optimized for GIGABYTE server systems. This offers a secure, stable, and high-performing solution for a massive amount of data transfer.

HBA/RAID Cards

GIGABYTE HBA and RAID cards are powered by the latest Broadcom SAS chips, enabling connections to either 8 or 16 directly attached SATA/SAS drives, and RAID 5/6 are also supported on RAID cards. For optimal drive capacity, expanders can be added to support 32 to 240 SATA/SAS physical devices. This versatile approach caters to diverse use cases and budgets considerations, while preserving the capability for future expansion. An optional Broadcom CacheVault module can also be selected to offer an additional layer of data protection for mission-critical applications.

LAN Cards

GIGABYTE LAN cards equipped with Broadcom BCM57414 and BMC57416 NICs feature the latest NIC partitioning (NPAR), supporting up to 16 physical functions (PFs). Coupled with TruFlow™ engine for intelligent flow processing, these cards enhance server VM density and accelerate vSwitch processing. The addition of an innovative end-to-end congestion avoidance and management feature helps anticipate and eliminate potential congestion before it occurs. GIGABYTE LAN cards also support advanced networking technologies such as RoCE, SDN, NFV, and virtualization. Alongside ROM-based silicon root of trust and TruManage™ technology featured on Broadcom controllers, they further enhance server manageability and data security. This ensures energy-efficient, stable, and protected communications between servers.

Flexible Configuration with PCIe and OCP 3.0 Add-on Cards

All GIGABYTE add-on cards are designed to accommodate various use cases and are available in either a low-profile PCIe type or OCP 3.0 type. This diverse lineup serves all GIGABYTE Enterprise products, enabling the establishment of flexible system configurations.
