Fahrerassistenzsysteme

Was sind fortschrittliche Fahrerassistenzsysteme (ADAS)?

Fortschrittliche Fahrerassistenzsysteme (ADAS) überwachen kontinuierlich das Umfeld des Fahrzeugs, warnen den Fahrer vor gefährlichen Verkehrssituationen und leiten Korrekturmaßnahmen ein, beispielsweise indem sie das Fahrzeug abbremsen oder anhalten. Diese Systeme nutzen Daten von mehreren Sensoren, etwa Kameras und Radarsensoren. Die zusammengeführten Sensordaten werden verarbeitet und die daraus gewonnenen Informationen an den Fahrer sowie an andere Systemkomponenten weitergeleitet.

Warum benötigen Sie ADAS?

ADAS soll Verkehrsunfälle und die damit verbundenen Opferzahlen drastisch reduzieren, indem es Fahrer dabei unterstützt, Kollisionen von vornherein zu vermeiden. Diese Systeme reagieren schneller als jeder Mensch, sind jederzeit aufmerksam und werden bereits in verschiedenen Fahrzeugsegmenten eingesetzt – von Premium- bis hin zu Economy-Modellen.

Wie unterstützt GIGABYTE?

GIGABYTE hat ein Steuergerät für autonomes Fahren entwickelt, das als zentrale Steuereinheit für autonome Fahrzeuge und Fahrzeuge mit fortschrittlichen Fahrerassistenzsystemen (ADAS) dient. Der experimentelle Prototyp eines fahrerlosen Fahrzeugs verfügt weder über ein Lenkrad noch über Gas- oder Bremspedale und ist vollständig autonom. GIGABYTE baut durch Partnerschaften ein Ökosystem für autonome Fahrzeuge (AV) auf und deckt den Rechenbedarf des gesamten Fahrzeugs ab – einschließlich fortschrittlicher Fahrerassistenz- und autonomer Systeme.
