GIGABYTE Target OC: Open Target Competition Winners Announced
Winners take home hardware including the Z170X-Gaming 3, Z170X-SOC FORCE and the Z170X-Gaming G1

City of Industry, California, Tuesday January 12th, 2016 – GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd., a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards, is proud to announce the winners of its recent Target OC: Open Target Competition hosted on HWBOT during November and December 2015.

The contest, which wrapped up in late December, saw overclockers compete against one another to attempt to hit challenging targets in Ambient cooling (water or air) and Extreme cooling (LN2) categories using the Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility and Geekbench 3 benchmark. Overclockers were free to use any GIGABYTE motherboard as there were no restrictions on chipset. 

The winners of each of the 3 ambient categories were awarded a GIGABYTE Z170X-Gaming 3 motherboard: 

The winners of each of the 3 extreme categories were awarded a GIGABYTE Z170X-SOC Force motherboard:

Below is a list of the subcategory winners:
•    Ambient 2 Cores - Lochekey
•    Ambient 4 Cores - Lanbonden
•    Ambient 6 Cores - TAGG
•    Extreme 2 Cores - Darkvenom
•    Extreme 4 Cores - Keichan 
•    Extreme 6 Cores - Nifir

At the end of the contest there was a lucky draw open to anyone that participated in six targets in a minimum of two categories. Overnightstone was the winner and took home USD $500 and a GIGABYTE Z170X-Gaming G1 motherboard.
