Taipei, Taiwan, 5 May, 2010 – GIGABYTE, a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards, is pleased to announce first round of OC Guru is You has come to an end on April 30^th on HWBOT.  Winners from OC Guru is You, a global graphics card overclocking competition, will receive great prizes shortly.

Coinciding with GIGABYTE’s latest Super Overclock Series, OC Guru is You was launched the first day of April. During the one month of competition, overclockers around the world have spared no effort in becoming the champion of this fierce competition. With this in mind, the final champion from Sweden would not give up until the competition was about to end, and subsequently submitted scores only hours earlier. In a fierce competition as such, only 55 marks in 3DMark Vantage performance could separate the first place from the second, and only 13 marks could do so in GPU score ranking.

1^st place: Sweden’s elmor - 29293 marks

2^nd place: Greece’s Aristidis - 29238 marks

3^rd place: USA’s Bodar - 28927 marks

1^st place: Sweden’s elmor - 25996 marks

2^nd place: Greece’s Aristidis - 25983 marks

3^rd place: Taiwan’s Toppc - 25599 marks

elmor, the winner in both competition rankings will be rewarded with USD$1,500 and a brand new GIGABYTE HD 5870 SOC graphics card. To express gratitude for gamers’ long-term support, one lucky participant will have the chance to bring home a passively cooled GIGABYTE HD 5750. The second round OC Guru is YOU! - GIGABYTE AMD HD 5000 Series OC Challenge has just started from the 1^st of May, and will continue until the last day of the month.
