I press the power switch, but your notebook does not start or boot-up.
Look at the Power indicator:
If it is not lit, no power is being applied to your notebook. Check the following:
1. If you are running on battery power, it may be too low and unable to power your notebook. Connect the AC adapter to recharge the battery pack.
2. Make sure the AC adapter is plugged in properly to your notebook and to the power outlet.
If it is lit, check if the Standby indicator is lit. If the Standby indicator is lit, your notebook is in Standby mode. Press any key or tap on the touchpad to resume.
