After I self installed a input method in Windows 7 64 bit operation system, I can no longer key in letters in some software.

This could happen when your input method does not support 64 bit operation system. Please press [Ctrl] + [Shift] to change to Windows 7 bundled input method and you should be able to key in letters.
If you want to use third party input method, kindly confirm with the manufacture to see if it supports 64 bit operation system.
About how to add or remove input methods, please refer to Microsoft official web page.
