When I try to use Intel CPU Identification Utility to check my CPU model and speed, I found a strange symptom. If my laptop works with battery power, the utility will only recognize my CPU speed at 598MHz. What's going on? Is my laptop has any problem? Or Is this just a software problem?

Based on Intel CPU specification, Pentium CPU speed is vary by different power saving setting under Window for better power saving performance. Thus, when your laptop works by using battery power, the CPU clock will be decreased automatically and make Intel CPU Identification Utiltiy getting wrong CPU clock.
