Taipei, Taiwan, February, 14th 2012 – GIGABYTE TECHNOLGY Co. Ltd., a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards, today announced the GIGABYTE Spring Extreme Contest, its latest overclocking competition that will be hosted on HWBOT.org.
 
With the scent of spring in the air, GIGABYTE invites anyone in possession of an AMD processor and a GIGABYTE motherboard to tackle four uncompromising stages that will decide once and for all who rules the AMD roost, with top dog walking away with a top-of-the-range GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD7.
 
'Spring Extreme Contest' Stages
Stage 1 - Super PI 1M
Stage 2 - Super PI 32M
Stage 3 - PiFast
Stage 4 - PC Mark 05
 
The 'Spring Extreme Contest' will run from February 15th to March 15th 2012. The winner will take home a GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD7 motherboard, with second and third places taking a 990FXA-UD5, and 990FXA-UD3 respectively. This contest is open to all HWBOT members. In the event of a tied score, the highest PC Mark 05 score will determine the contest winner.
