  • 軟體定義網路是什麼?
    軟體定義網路 (SDN) 把虛擬化的概念帶至網路(從硬體到抽象軟體)。

    在傳統網路中,結合控制面版(管理網路流量的設備)與數據面版(傳遞網路流量的路由器和交換機),需將軟硬體整合才得以提供不同的網路服務。 然而,SDN將控制面板與數據面板分離並虛擬化。如此一來,網路就可以更智能地集中控制,也可以用軟體進行編程。

    而這些應用程式涵蓋了常用的聯網功能,如 : 交通工程或安全管理,並且可以將多種網絡服務整合到一個通用的硬體基礎架構中。 它類似於運算或儲存的軟體定義應用程式,透過分離和虛擬化軟體功能來運行。

    SDN最引人注目的優勢是它可以集中「智能」,透過檢視網路的各個面向,來進行路由器和交換機決策。同時也跨網路控制管理,改變策略,簡化配置和自動化等功能。 使用軟體來控制網絡資源,因此將網路資源管理的更好、更有效率。 網絡變得更加敏捷,易於管理,並對未來緊急的使用案例能有所準備。新型網絡和服務保持動態彈性,並可以針對特定的應用進行微調。

    SDN 也可以針對安全性來細分網络流量,帶有重要敏感數據的網路可以設定多重防護,一般網路則可以公開瀏覽,即使有駭客入侵機密性高的資料庫,也能被阻擋於外,無法訪問其他網段,例如安全姓資料中心網絡。而且所有這些功能都可以在同一網絡基礎架構上執行,以降低成本。
