Beijing, China, Mar 27, 2009 – The GIGABYTE Open Overclocking Championship, GO OC 2009 China regional final, successfully took place March 26, 2009. A total of 15 teams from different cities gathered at 北京中环假日酒店 (Holiday Inn Central Plaza Beijing) in China to compete for the title of the GO OC 2009 China regional final champion. After 3 hours of serious competition, GIGABYTE is pleased to announce WU MING HUI (x800pro) was crowned champion of the China regional final OC competition, who will represent China to compete in the worldwide final competition, which will be held in Taipei, Taiwan in the landmark Taipei 101 skyscraper on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009, during COMPUTEX 2009.

The GO OC 2009 event was kicked off with an opening speech from Henry Kao, Vice President of GIGABYTE MB Business Center. Following was an umpire to announce the competition rule and contestant representative to take an oath to get them ready to face off in overclocking battle. In addition to the overclocking competition area, GIGABYTE had display area to live demo their motherboards and graphic cards in special chassis featuring latest Ultra Durable 3 and 2 ounce copper PCB technology, as well as Intel X58 platform.
GIGABYTE also showcased the latest high-end products from the sponsors of the event as well as the hardware used in the competition. First class hardware is the key to achieving successful, record-breaking overclocks, and GIGABYTE was honored to have several industry-leading venders including Intel, NVIDIA, Kingston, ENERMAX and SAMSUNG to participate in this historic event. With their outstanding support, the GO OC 2009 China regional final will be remembered by overclockers and enthusiasts alike as the biggest and most extreme overclocking competition in history.
