  • 高可用性是什麼?
    雖然可用性的概念淺顯易懂,卻偶爾被資訊科技管理者忽略;簡單來說,伺服器機房資料中心的設備都盡量不要下線,讓用戶能隨時使用。所謂的高可用性系統,比業界標準提供較長的運作時間,也就是較短的停機時間。數位科技時代,高可用性系統已成為資訊科技設備的基本條件,智慧科技產品要能隨時連線網路或物聯網服務。

    建設IT架構的初期階段,必須考慮到可用性問題,斥資購買冗餘系統和零組件,做好風險管理和縮短可能的當機時間。除了避免單點故障(SPOF),還要準備業務連續性計劃(BCP),用來應對嚴重當機狀況。好的BCP涵蓋當機時該如何繼續營運,如何盡快恢復正常運作(或稱災難復原計畫,DRP),並且評估當機影響業務的範圍與程度(或稱營運衝擊分析,BIA)。

    現代生活已經和物聯網密切連結,因此,高可用性是資訊科技設備基本條件。比方說,在雲端運算的應用領域,雲端服務供應商(CSP)應確保雲端服務不中斷,隨時可被使用。學術研究機構需要高可用性設備,才能領先全球,發布新的科技突破或科學發明。不久的將來,自駕車等智慧解決方案落地,高可用性設備將變得更加重要。

    一、智慧型危機管理與防護(SCMP):智慧型危機管理與防護是技嘉專利功能,應用在使用非完全冗餘電源設計的伺服器上,透過SCMP,當非完全冗餘電源設計的其中一部電源供應器出現故障或系統過熱時,系統會強制中央處理器進入超低頻模式降低電力負載,避免系統因意外瞬間停機而導致硬體損壞或資料遺失。

    二、電壓瞬間調頻:為防止交流電源中斷而導致硬體損壞與資料遺失,技嘉伺服器導入電壓瞬間調頻。當交流電中斷時,系統會即刻進入超低頻模式降低電力負載,並利用電源供應器電容,維持十到二十微秒的供電,直到其他電源啟動,確保硬體穩定運作與資料安全。

    三、雙唯讀記憶體架構:雙唯讀記憶體架構能確保伺服器運作不中斷,當主要BMC或BIOS因硬體損壞而無法開機時,系統會由備援的BMC或BIOS接手啟動。備援BMC透過同步功能,在使用者更新主要BMC時自動更新;BIOS則由用戶自行選擇想更新的軟體版本與媒體。
