  • 是什麼?
    3D建模中,點雲是一組呈現三維座標(俗稱XYZ軸)的數據,每一點代表物體表面一個位置。把這些點連接在一起,即可呈現物體的外觀;若記錄每一點的RGB資訊,亦可反映色彩。點雲可透過3D掃描、光達或攝影測量軟體建構,然後經由「表面重建」的過程,轉變成我們熟悉的多邊形網格、CAD模型或NURBS模型,再加利用。

  • 為何需要?
    生活中越來越多東西搬到虛擬世界,點雲提供相對快速的方式,精準產出實際物體的數位副本,應用潛能不受限制,常見的範例包括:

    教育與娛樂:真實的名勝古蹟,例如白金漢宮或萬里長城,可經過掃描、記錄變成點雲。算圖農場可運用點雲繪製精緻的數位模型,用於影片製作特效、或是用來提供虛擬的導覽服務。

    保存與修復:歷史性的遺址,無須隨著時光流逝,可用點雲記載、讓其永垂不朽,甚至在災禍後修復。例如,2019年因火災受損的巴黎聖母院,由十億個數據點所組成的點雲輔助,陸續進行修復。

    安全檢驗:最近開始流行,用點雲實施建築工程的安檢。建案當中每一個關鍵階段,可用點雲檢查建商是否遵循建築師的藍圖施工,未來如果建築出現問題,亦可撈出點雲資料來做檢驗。

    自駕車:測試中的自駕車透過感應器蒐集點雲資料,協助機器學習深度學習所產生的演算法,推動先進駕駛輔助系統的發展,逐步接近全自動化的境界。
