Basisbandprozessor

Was ist das?

Ein Basisbandprozessor ist ein Chip in einem Smartphone, Tablet oder einem anderen Gerät, der digitale Daten in Hochfrequenzsignale und umgekehrt umwandelt. Diese Signale können anschließend über ein RAN (Radio Access Network) übertragen werden.

Warum wird er benötigt?

Ein Basisbandprozessor steuert sämtliche Funkfunktionen eines Mobilfunkgeräts. Ohne ihn könnte das Gerät keine Verbindung zu einem Mobilfunknetz herstellen. Zu den bedeutenden Herstellern von Basisbandprozessoren gehören Broadcom, Icera, Intel, MediaTek und Qualcomm.

Wie unterstützt GIGABYTE?

Ein Basisbandprozessor ist ein integraler Bestandteil jedes mobilen Endgeräts und wird auch in künftigen 5G-Netzen zum Einsatz kommen.
