    • There are many new services and applications being offered under the scope of e-mobility. In addition to vehicles for people to ride, it also includes various unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) and robots. Most of these unmanned vehicles and robots need to communicate with the remote control center on a real time basis. The main function of the in-vehicle telematics module is to secure data transmission and real-time communication between the vehicle and the control center. The sizes and functionalities of the unmanned vehicle varies, the internal component parts need to be designed according to the limited spaces inside the vehicles. Therefore, GIGABYTE is presenting a compact-sized telematics module, to fulfill various vehicle and machinery requirements.
The GIGABYTE EBX-A100 is an ARM-based heterogeneous multifunctional device for automotive and Industrial applications. Supporting Android / Linux OS, highly integrating telematics technology with comprehensive network communication interface. It’s an ideal solution which offers a compact, flexible and reliable embedded system for various smart vehicles, robots, agricultural and mining machinery.
EBX-A100 can be sufficiently connected to various in-vehicle peripheral equipment. For example, CAN bus can real-time monitor and collect all data surrounding the vehicle, also receive sensor data returned from radar, ultrasonic…etc. The isolated digital I/O ports accept commands while you push buttons and switches in the vehicle and transfer these commands to the actuator and indicator lights around the car. In addition, the Ethernet ports can not only be used in local area networks, but also can adopt the data from the onboard sensors.
EBX-A100 provides excellent performance that can support a wide range of operating voltage from 9 to 36V, even a higher inrush current. The smart management system set in EBX-A100 can automatically monitor the input voltage, operating temperature at any time. The ignition delay will secure the system to have a superior stability and reliability during the whole operation for the system platform. Equipped with common industrial level interfaces, outlined with a firm metal appearance which resists impacts and leaps. It is in compliance with common industrial certifications such as CE/FCC. Even in the harsh environment, EBX-A100 still functions firmly and consistently.
