Acknowledgement of GA-7DPXDW (-C) PCB V1.0 Beta Issues
Gigabyte Technology Co.in cooperation with the AMD Inc. has confirmed a possibility of AMD-768™ Peripheral Bus Controller (Southbridge) flaw design in AMD s AMD-760™ MPX chipset that could lead to malfunction USB ports when sharing same IRQ with certain classes of devices. Gigabyte has also discovered few incompatibility issues with AMD-760™ MPX chipset during routine internal quality testing. We would like to notify users of following known issues in advance.
- Onboard Promise PDC 20267 is incompatible with over 120GB capacity of IDE hard drives.
- Please aware of an inadequate power supply that could pose an electrical shortage on 7DPXDW. Now, we are investigating the incompatible issue caused by Zippy power supply.
Now, AMD has identified the causes and expect to release a new stepping of AMD-768™ Peripheral Bus Controller (Southbridge) scheduled on early March. Meanwhile, Gigabyte would provide a Microsoft Windows XP certified USB 2.0 add-on PCI adapter together with this product’s order as part of our commitment to ensure the highest customer satisfaction and product quality.
